The reinforced unibody of the 2020 Toyota Highlander is available in a variety of trims and comes standard with a 3.5-L V6 engine with a dual overhead cam, and an 8-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission that makes 295-hp and 263 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, with the option of all-wheel drive. The Highlander gets 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and has an impressive towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.
