A living legend — that's what the Toyota Crown is. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Crown, which made its debut in 1955. The Crown has been a mainstay of the automaker's lineup ever since and shows no signs of slowing. For the uninitiated, the Crown may seem like just another sedan. But to those in the know, the Crown is so much more. It's a symbol of Toyota's dedication to engineering and innovation. For 16 generations, the Crown has epitomized Toyota's values of quality, durability, and reliability. The 2023 Crown is the latest incarnation of this iconic sedan and builds on its predecessor's legacy. Featuring an all-new flashier design, top-of-the-line features, and a more luxurious interior, the 2023 Toyota Crown is perfect for those who want the best of the best. Let's take a closer look at what this sleek lift-up sedan has to offer. Trim Levels and Price 2023 Toyota Crown You’ll be able to choose the 2023 Toyota Crown in three trim levels: the XLE, Limited, and Platinum. Each trim level offers its own unique blend of features and amenities at different price points. Here's a quick overview of what each trim level has to offer: XLE: The base trim level of the 2023 Toyota Crown, the XLE is the most affordable option. With an MSRP of $41,045, it's still a luxurious car without breaking the bank. Standard features include LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated front seats, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Limited: The next step up is the Limited trim, which has an MSRP of $46,595. For an extra $5,550, you get a few more bells and whistles, including automatic windshield wipers, 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, heated rear seats, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, and a panoramic glass roof. Platinum: If you want the best the 2023 Toyota Crown offers, you'll want to go with the top-of-the-line Platinum trim. It has an MSRP of $53,445 and includes all the features of the lower trim levels, plus even more luxury amenities. Standard features on the Platinum trim include a surround-view camera, 21-inch two-tone alloy wheels, ambient lighting, and an Advanced Park system. Powertrain, Transmission, and Performance Under the hood, the 2023 Toyota Crown doesn't disappoint. It has two different engine options: the standard 2.5L inline-four engine and Toyota's new Hybrid Max setup. The standard setup is centered around the 2.5L inline-four engine that’s connected to three electric motors to create a hybrid powertrain dubbed the Toyota Hybrid System. This combination produces a whopping 236 ponies. The new Hybrid Max setup, specific to the Crown Platinum trim, offers even more power. It comes with a 2.5L turbocharged inline-four engine mated to an electric motor on the rear axle for a combined power output of 340 horsepower. Toyota offers the 2023 Crown with two different transmission options: a six-speed automatic and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The latter is available exclusively on the Platinum trim, while you can select the former on all other trims. All-wheel drive comes standard on every trim, so your Prosper drives will always be sure-footed, no matter the weather conditions. Thanks to its powerful engine options and all-wheel drivetrain, the 2023 Toyota Crown is a joy to drive. It accelerates effortlessly and handles like a dream. Whether you're cruising down the highway or zipping through city streets, the Crown will get you where you need to go in style. Fuel Economy The 2023 Toyota Crown is surprisingly fuel-efficient for a sedan of its size. The base hybrid powertrain gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 42 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The Platinum model's more potent engine does come at the cost of slightly lower fuel economy, but even then, it still achieves an impressive 29 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Overall, the 2023 Crown is an excellent choice for those who want a luxurious and powerful sedan that won't break the bank at the pump. Interior and Cargo Capacity When you step inside the 2023 Toyota Crown, you'll be blown away by its luxurious and spacious interior. This sedan can comfortably seat up to five adults with plenty of legroom and headroom in both the front and rear seats. The cabin is outfitted with high-quality materials, including soft-touch plastics, wood trim, and leather upholstery. For your utmost comfort, the front seats are also heated and ventilated. As for cargo capacity, the 2023 Toyota Crown has you covered. It offers a generous 15.2 cubic feet of space in the trunk, so you can easily pack up for a weekend getaway or store all your gear for a day at the beach. For even more storage space, you can fold down the rear seats to create a flat load floor to transport larger items without any hassle easily. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Toyota doesn't skimp on safety when it comes to the 2023 Crown. The sedan is at the top of its class when it comes to safety ratings and is packed full of the latest and greatest driver-assistance features. Every 2023 Crown comes standard with the latest Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 3.0), including features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. Additional safety features include rain-sensing windshield wipers and rear automatic emergency braking. Infotainment and Connectivity Tech goodies and creature comforts abound in the 2023 Toyota Crown. This puppy comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen across all trims; a six-speaker audio system; built-in navigation; Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa compatibility; and a front-row wireless charging pad. Higher trims come with even more bells and whistles, such as an 11-speaker JBL audio system. One of the best things about the holiday season is all the unique activities that go with it. You might host house parties, give thoughtful presents to friends and family, send out cards, or decorate your home with festive trinkets. There are probably a lot of things on your holiday bucket list this November and December. Yet, you might want to consider doing something a little less obvious, such as volunteering at a local charity. If you're looking for ways to give during this holiday season in the Prosper, Texas area, then keep reading for some good places to start. Hospice and Palliative Care Image by RODNAE Productions is licensed with Pexels License Hospice care is all about creating an atmosphere in which people can spend their last days as comfortably as possible. There's a lot of work that goes into that environment, though, especially at this time of year, which is why places like Hospice and Palliative Care could use whatever help you can offer. This is a great way to give a huge gift to people living right in your community, and it doesn't have to cost you a lot of time or money. Hospice and Palliative Care is run by AccentCare, a health organization with several facilities devoted to providing the best end-of-life care to many individuals. There are two locations near Prosper: in Denton and McKinney. There are many ways you can choose to volunteer for this organization, from providing direct care to bereavement services to bringing your children to visit the patients and lift their spirits. If you're musical, you can even play your favorite songs for those in hospice care. Sign up to volunteer on the AccentCare website or call the location directly to ask about opportunities there. Locations: 6800 Weiskopf Ave., Suite 105, McKinney, and 225 W. Mulberry St., Denton. Heritage Farmstead Museum Why not combine having fun and learning something new while you volunteer? Heritage Farmstead Museum is a restored farm that operates as it would have back in the days when the Prosper area was first settled. This exciting and unique museum is home to thousands of historical artifacts, many of which the farm uses in its live exhibits. The stated mission of the museum is "to collect, preserve, and interpret late 19th and early 20th century Blackland Prairie history," so if you’re interested in the story and heritage of your local community, you're the sort of volunteer they're looking for. The Museum gives tours to school kids, and they’re currently looking for volunteers to guide children around the farm and tell them how everything works. Tour guides need to dress up in costume and learn the history of the farm and its way of life. Volunteers dressed in traditional garb also run each exhibit, so you might get the chance to work at a spinning wheel or blacksmith's forge if you happen to have the skills or the ability to learn. They get extra busy with special events for the holiday season, so they need your help more than ever. Location: 1900 W. 15th St., Plano. Love Thy Baby Love Thy Baby is one of the programs run by the North Texas non-profit charity, Love Thy Neighbor. This program aims to bring help to babies born prematurely, suffering from health problems, or living in an economic crisis. The program volunteers do this primarily by making and distributing blankets and clothing to babies in need. For over 15 years, this group has given out over 50,000 items to needy children and their families. They are always looking for new volunteers, especially during the holidays when the weather is cold, and people are most inclined to give. How can you help Love Thy Baby? Let’s look at a couple of ways. The organization is looking for people to run clothing drives and donation pickups, so if you're willing, you can certainly volunteer your services that way. If you have a talent for arts and crafts, you can join your fellow crafters to make items for babies in need. Similarly, if you knit, crotchet, or sew, use your passion and talent to help the babies who need it most. Best of all, creating these items is something you can do from the comfort of your home. So, if the winter weather has you tied down, you can still give this holiday season. Location (for drop off): 1569 W. Main St., Lewisville. Plano Children's Theater Therapeutic Arts Program This is yet another unique way to give back to the community. The Plano Children's Theater hosts a therapeutic arts program known as the Starcatchers, and they're looking for volunteers to help out this holiday season. This program is all about helping both children and adults with disabilities create beautiful art, whether it’s music, drama, or the visual arts. Starcatchers is dedicated to creating a positive impact within the local community through these amazing efforts. If you have an interest in the arts, you can volunteer to be a Performance Partner through the Starcatchers’ website. In this role, you'll be able to assist disabled people through every step of their artistic creation. You might help them to learn their lines, teach or help out with an art class, or work one-on-one with individual disabled actors. There's no better way to help people create and provide art to the community all at the same time. Location: 6121 W. Park Blvd., Suite B216, Plano. Whatever your skills or inclinations, there's a way for you to help out over the holidays this year. As you celebrate with your loved ones, don't forget about those less fortunate than yourselves. However small, don't be afraid to do your part and bring a little more love and joy into their lives. Did you like these ideas or have some more for us? Get in touch on our contact page or drop by Longo Toyota of Prosper to chat or check out a new ride for this holiday season.

Being torn between buying a used or new vehicle is something we've all experienced at some point in our lives. But it doesn't have to be like that, especially if you decide to purchase your vehicle with us at Longo Toyota of Prosper. If you're trying to save money without sacrificing quality or leaving behind the peace of mind that a manufacturer's warranty brings, why not consider our certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles? CPO vehicles are thoroughly inspected by our Toyota-certified mechanics and meet our highest quality standards. Read on to learn the major benefits of buying a CPO car with us. View All Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles They're Gently Used Vehicles 2022 Toyota Prius For a vehicle to classify as a CPO, it must meet the high standards of a CPO program. For example, the Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV) program restricts its CPO rating to cars that are less than six years old and that have fewer than 85,000 miles on the odometer. As you can see, buying CPO means buying a relatively new model with low mileage. The best part is that since most manufacturers wait an average of six years to make major updates and redesigns to their current models, you can always be confident that you are buying a vehicle with the most recent software and features. On top of that, most of our CPO vehicles are lease returns, meaning they're nowhere near the TCUV's mileage limit. Lease terms require leasers to maintain the vehicle in excellent condition and to avoid making any significant modifications. Because of that, the average lease return vehicle is 2-3 years old with fewer than 36,000 miles on the odometer. They Include Excellent Coverage Policies One of the biggest reasons people are reluctant to buy a standard used vehicle is the warranty, as most come with poor coverage. CPO vehicles come with an extended manufacturer's warranty for your peace of mind. Suppose you buy a CPO vehicle at Longo Toyota of Prosper. In that case, you're guaranteed to be covered every second of every day during your first seven years of ownership or the first 100,000 miles you put on the clock, whichever comes first. Our excellent coverage policy includes a 12-month or 12,000-mile Limited Comprehensive Warranty and a 7-year or 100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty. Note that coverage starts the day you purchase a vehicle through the TCUV program, so if you buy a car with 25,000 miles on the odometer, you'll still have the 100,000 miles of your warranty intact. They Offer Slower Depreciation If you didn't know, the biggest downside of buying a new vehicle is the rapid rate at which it depreciates, especially right after you make a purchase. New cars lose the most value during the first year (around 20%), followed by around 15% each year for the next four years. In other words, your great new vehicle will be worth less than 40% of its original price after the first five years. CPO vehicles are a smart way to avoid the financial hit, as they come with slower depreciation rates and are in optimum condition, so you are unlikely to have to pay for substantial repairs. They Undergo a Thorough Inspection As previously mentioned, a vehicle must meet specific benchmarks to be classified as a TCUV. The main two are a rigorous 160-point inspection and a review of the vehicle's CARFAX history. The 160-point Quality Assurance Inspection, which goes up to 165 for fuel cell vehicles and 174 for hybrids, helps us know which cars meet our strict standards of detailing, mechanics, and appearance. This ensures you're getting a like-new vehicle. Every TCUV undergoes a CARFAX history review — only those that meet Toyota's standards can be part of the program. When you purchase one of our CPOs, it will come with a CARFAX Vehicle History Report at no additional cost. This report details the car’s damage and accident history, service records, number of owners, and other important information about the vehicle's history. Our Toyota-trained technicians are in charge of thoroughly inspecting a potential TCUV, completing any repairs if necessary and reconditioning the vehicle after the inspection if it doesn’t meet any one of our high standards. As you can see, the objective of the TCUV program is to provide customers with vehicles that are barely distinguishable from new ones. They Have Lower Costs and Financing Rates Since CPO vehicles aren’t subject to the same 15% yearly loss in value as new cars, they cost significantly less money than new ones. In fact, that new-vehicle deprecation is why you can spend less on a CPO car. You can easily find a 2-year-old CPO vehicle in your desired make and model for 30% less than its original price. Furthermore, most banks and financing institutions favor CPO cars, which means you can get lower financing rates. If you'd like help finding the right financing options or if you want to know more about the financial part of this process, we invite you to get in touch with a member of our team. There’s Less Risk Involved Buying a standard used car is risky, as there's a high chance it will need some repairs or a few visits to the mechanic during the first year. In other words, you're paying for a cheaper car that will become more expensive in the long run. However, if you go down the CPO route, there's little to no risk involved, as you get a car backed by the Toyota guarantee. That means you’re covered 24 hours a day, seven days a week for seven years or during your first 100,000 miles — not to mention the rigorous certification process that ensures your car starts off in great condition. They Haven't Been in a Major Collision To offer customers the very best, we only give the Toyota Certified Seal of Approval to vehicles that have never had any defects or problems, such as having been involved in a major collision. When you purchase a CPO vehicle at Longo Toyota of Prosper, you get a high-quality, low-mileage car that will be with you for as long as you desire. On top of that, your CPO vehicle is covered by Toyota's warranties, so you have nothing to worry about. Come visit us, and take a look at all the CPO vehicles available for you. Purchasing a new Toyota is an exciting experience. While there are many things to focus on during this time, you want to be aware of your maintenance plan and your new responsibilities as a vehicle owner. Taking advantage of your coverage and taking the steps and time to maintain your vehicle properly can extend its life and save you money in routine maintenance and costly repairs due to neglect. You'll want to protect your investment, and one of the best ways to do so is to be proactive in caring for your vehicle. Learn what the Toyota Care Plus plan is, what it covers, and the benefits of having a maintenance plan for your Toyota. View ToyotaCare Services What is the Toyota Care Plus plan? Toyota Care When you purchase a new Toyota, you receive a complimentary maintenance plan that covers the vehicle for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Once this standard maintenance plan, called Toyota Care, expires, drivers can upgrade to the optional Toyota Care Plus maintenance plan for longer-lasting coverage at an additional one-time cost. The service plan includes regular maintenance based on your specific model's maintenance guide and roadside assistance. To qualify for the Toyota Care Plus program, your vehicle must have at least 31,000 miles and be within 37 months of the date of first use. Date of first use means when your vehicle was new with less than 799 miles. The program covers your vehicle for up to four years or 45,000 miles, whichever comes first. This program helps Toyota owners stay on schedule with providing their vehicle with the necessary care to ensure it is running properly. Qualified Toyota technicians perform routine maintenance and help ensure your vehicle performs at its best to keep you as safe as possible while on the road. They also use Toyota certified parts, ensuring you have the best for your vehicle. What the Toyota Care Plus Plan Does and Doesn't Cover At its core, the Toyota Care Plus program is a prepaid maintenance plan. That means that the typical Toyota driver can avoid the rising cost of maintenance services by paying a one-time agreed upon amount. With this plan, you'll get coverage for factory-recommended maintenance for your 30,000, 35,000, 40,000, and 45,000 miles services. These typically include: Tire rotations. Engine oil changes. Engine filter changes. Cabin air filter. Multi-point inspection. Inspect and adjust fluid levels. Toyota genuine parts. Toyota trained technicians. While these are the basics, each Toyota has a specialized plan outlined in the owner's manual. Your maintenance schedule will align with those detailed specifications. Along with maintenance coverage, drivers with the Toyota Care Plus coverage have 24 hours a day, seven days per week roadside assistance. The services for roadside assistance include: Jumpstart for battery. Lock-out protection. Emergency fuel delivery. Tire service using your inflated spare tire. Towing to the nearest Toyota dealership or one within 25 miles. Winching to get you out of a ditch, mud, or snow. As with any type of coverage plan, there are limitations. For example, the winching service is available if your vehicle is next to a regularly traveled road and capable of being serviced with standard servicing equipment. However, if your vehicle is off-roading and stuck in a ravine in the middle of nowhere, this service doesn't apply. It is for use in regular driving circumstances when you find yourself in an unfortunate predicament. One of the major benefits of the roadside service is that no matter who is driving the vehicle, it is covered. So if your teenager has an unexpected blowout or your relative runs out of gas, they'll be able to call one convenient number for help, even if you aren't the one driving. Different Plan Options While a two-year service package comes standard with the purchase of your new Toyota, the extended coverage plan comes in a variety of options to fit your needs and budget. The possibilities are: Three years for 35,000 miles. Three years for 45,000 miles. Four years for 45,000 miles. Four years for 60,000 miles. Five years for 55,000 miles. Five years for 75,000 miles. The price point varies for each individual plan. Contact our service center for up-to-date prices and to learn about all of your options.
