Little Elm Craft Brew & Que Little Elm Craft Brew & Que is heading back to Little Elm Park on June 3, with the event starting at 4 p.m.  This is the eighth year of this fun festival, and you don't want to miss it. This year, it's bigger than ever, and there are even more activities for you to do. You can stop by to sample beer from some of the best breweries and wines from local wineries, and you can also enjoy a barbecue from some of the best Texas pitmasters as well as some shopping. There's also a kid zone with activities for the kids and contests, and the event all wraps up with a firework show you don't want to miss. You can enjoy live music from Blue Water Highway, and you can also catch a show featuring Joey Green in addition to the headlining show from Mike Ryan. Some of the competitions will include stein holding, hot wing eating with burning questions, guess the beer, mechanical bull riding, and hot pepper eating. Tickets range from $10 to $100, and parking is free. If you get a VIP ticket, you can head to the VIP tent, where you'll find tables, fans to keep you cool, and extra BBQ appetizers. This ticket also comes with a special pass for beer and wine sampling and even dedicated bathrooms. There will be over 500 different beer selections and over 45 different wineries providing samples. Holistic Festival of Life and Wellness The Human Embrace and Mystic Mandala will host the Holistic Festival of Live and Wellness for the 17th year on June 11. It takes place at the Plano Event Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the largest holistic festival in North Texas. If you're looking for spiritual health, physical well-being, and mental clarity, this is the perfect festival for you. It features pranic healing, yoga, meditation, chakra balancing, herbal nutrition, aromatherapy, Reiki, massage, astrology, psychic readings, and much more. Throughout the day-long event, there'll be eight hours of yoga classes, six hours of fitness classes, and 24 different wellness talks. Make sure to head to the main stage for music and dance performances, and don't miss the clothing swap. 2023 Bluegrass on Ballard Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show Take the short drive to Wylie, Texas, on Saturday, June 24, for the 2023 Bluegrass on Ballard Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show. If you have a vehicle to show, or if you just want to go see the cars, trucks, and motorcycles, this is the perfect summer activity for you. Registration is open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and there are 29 different classes to enter, with prizes for first through third places. There are also Best Modern Car, Best Truck, Best Classic Car, and Best Motorcycle awards. You can only register if you want to enter your vehicle. If you're going as a spectator, it's free. The event runs from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., giving you plenty of time to see everything on display. The Bluegrass on Ballard will also be going on in Wylie all day long. This free festival starts at 10 a.m. and features top bluegrass bands, arts and crafts, lots of food, and children's activities. If you want to join in the fun, make sure to bring your instrument, and you can jam with other musicians throughout town. Visit the Heritage Farmstead Museum A visit to the Heritage Farmstead Museum in nearby Plano, Texas, is a must this summer. This living history museum features animals, a walking path, and historic properties that you can explore. During your visit, you can see the farm animals, find out how people used to wash laundry before there were washers and dryers, feed chickens, and learn how to plow and plant the fields. The museum has enclosed and open-air exhibits to showcase local North Texas history. The furniture and items in the museum are from the Victorian era, and most of the items belonged to the Farell-Wilson family or other prominent Plano families. Tickets are available at the museum entrance and range from $5 to $15 per person. Museum members always enjoy free admission and can get discounts on special events. Enjoy Frontier Park Frontier Park, right in the heart of Prosper, is a great place to spend the day. It's home to many activities for the entire family, including playgrounds, hiking trails, a splash pad for the kids, and more. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, giving you plenty of time to explore, relax, and enjoy the area. The park has lighted baseball fields, softball fields, and soccer fields, and there are lighted batting cages and bathrooms inside the brick pavilion. The snack shop offers hot dogs, chips, candy, and drinks. The splash pad opens on Memorial Day weekend and stays open until Labor Day. The athletic fields are also available for rent. The pond at Frontier Park is available for catch-and-release fishing, and there are trails at the park for hiking and biking. The Windmill Playground is a community-built playground with big wooden structures. It features unique climbing and balancing features and is perfect for kids of all ages, including the little ones. A new 10-speed automatic transmission links with its standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional AWD. Although the 2023 Pilot retains its V-6 engine rather than changing to a new one like the Toyota Highlander, it has been boosted by five horsepower to 285 hp. The 2023 Honda Pilot is available in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Elite. The 2023 Pilot doesn't offer a hybrid or plug-in hybrid option. Exterior Design Features The 2023 Highlander now includes power-folding side mirrors with the Limited and Platinum trims, and Toyota has enhanced its bold design with 20-inch alloy wheels that come standard on several trims. The 2023 Pilot has a rugged look and a redesigned hexagon-mesh grille. It boasts attractive narrow-eyed LED headlights and LED taillights. Engine and Capability Here's an overview of the key engine and capability differences between these two SUVs: Toyota Highlander The 2023 Toyota Highlander has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, replacing its previous 3.5-liter V-6 engine. This new engine generates 265 horsepower. The Toyota Highlander has an eight-speed automatic transmission and offers 310 lb-ft of torque. Every Highlander offers valuable features, including trailer sway control and hill-start assist. The 2023 Highlander has a 5,000 lb maximum towing capacity and offers three drive modes: Sport, Eco, and Normal. The 2023 Highlander's hybrid option sets it apart from the 2023 Pilot. Although the Highlander hybrid engine is less powerful than its standard engine, it offers improved fuel efficiency.  The Toyota Highlander Hybrid has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission and sequential shift mode. The Highlander Hybrid is available with both FWD and AWD. Honda Pilot Every 2023 Honda Pilot comes with a DOHC 3.5-liter V-6 engine producing 285 horsepower, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and offers 262 lb-ft of torque. It also introduces an updated torque-vectoring i-VTM4 AWD to boost the rear differential at some trim levels. If you choose the Honda Pilot TrailSport trim, you get improved off-road capabilities, including hill-descent control and a tuned suspension. The 2023 Pilot also has a 5,000-lb maximum towing capacity and offers five drive modes: Normal, ECON, Snow, Sport, and Tow. Some trim levels also include Sand and Trail modes.
