There's also a kid zone with activities for the kids and contests, and the event all wraps up with a firework show you don't want to miss. You can enjoy live music from Blue Water Highway, and you can also catch a show featuring Joey Green in addition to the headlining show from Mike Ryan. Some of the competitions will include stein holding, hot wing eating with burning questions, guess the beer, mechanical bull riding, and hot pepper eating. Tickets range from $10 to $100, and parking is free. If you get a VIP ticket, you can head to the VIP tent, where you'll find tables, fans to keep you cool, and extra BBQ appetizers. This ticket also comes with a special pass for beer and wine sampling and even dedicated bathrooms. There will be over 500 different beer selections and over 45 different wineries providing samples. Holistic Festival of Life and Wellness The Human Embrace and Mystic Mandala will host the Holistic Festival of Live and Wellness for the 17th year on June 11. It takes place at the Plano Event Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the largest holistic festival in North Texas. If you're looking for spiritual health, physical well-being, and mental clarity, this is the perfect festival for you. Registration is open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and there are 29 different classes to enter, with prizes for first through third places. The event runs from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., giving you plenty of time to see everything on display. The Bluegrass on Ballard will also be going on in Wylie all day long. This free festival starts at 10 a.m. and features top bluegrass bands, arts and crafts, lots of food, and children's activities. Visit the Heritage Farmstead Museum A visit to the Heritage Farmstead Museum in nearby Plano, Texas, is a must this summer. This living history museum features animals, a walking path, and historic properties that you can explore.
